Heat oil in a heavy pot over high heat. Season beef with salt and sear until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.

Add drained rice and stir to coat. Pour in hot stock. Bring to a boil, reduce to lowest heat, cover tightly and cook until rice is fluffy and liquid absorbed.
