Classroom capacity planning questions

Why are there no Nigerian, Kenyan or South African presets?

A country name is not enough to establish the current rule for a particular school, building and learner group. Enter the requirement from the authority or design brief that actually applies.

What is the difference between layout and area capacity?

Layout capacity counts repeated furniture units that fit within the entered clear dimensions. Area capacity divides net planned area by the entered area-per-learner value. The lower result governs this worksheet.

Can I use the result to prove a classroom is safe?

No. Safety and legal occupancy require checks this arithmetic cannot perform.

Why might a professional approve fewer learners?

Exits, accessibility, ventilation, learner age, teaching method, furniture, supervision or another applicable rule may be more restrictive.

Test a classroom layout without calling it a safety standard
