Required Documentation
Documents needed to claim SADC preferential tariff rates at customs.
💡 Cumulation advantage: Under SADC full cumulation, materials and processing from ANY SADC member state count as originating. You can split production across multiple SADC countries and combine the value added.
SADC Member States (16)
🌍 SADC (Southern African Development Community) has 16 member states. The SADC Free Trade Area was launched in 2008. SACU (Southern African Customs Union) members (ZA, BW, LS, NA, SZ) form a deeper economic union within SADC.
📋 The Tripartite Free Trade Area (TFTA) links SADC, COMESA, and EAC — creating a larger regional bloc covering 26 countries and 625 million people.
