Method and limits
Does “near me” mean a nearby station price?
No. The finder selects the closest maintained market reference on this device. Each result says whether it is a city reference or national benchmark. AfroTools does not claim station availability or the cheapest pump.
What happens to my location?
Your browser supplies coordinates only after you press “Use my location” and grant permission. The page compares them locally with maintained market coordinates. Raw coordinates are not transmitted, stored, logged, placed in analytics or added to the URL.
Why can a market show “price unavailable”?
A record is withheld when a required source field is missing, the published validity period has ended, or the effective date is older than 45 days. You can still enter a price verified at your local station and use the fill-cost calculator.
