Method and limitations
No generic overload diagnosis
The tool reports “below entered minimum,” “inside entered range,” or “above entered maximum.” These are comparisons with your own inputs, not an AfroTools recommendation. An institutional exception or programme-specific rule may change what is permitted.
No graduation date estimate
Credits remaining is arithmetic only. It cannot determine when courses will be offered, whether prerequisites are satisfied, whether current courses will be passed, or whether residency, GPA, capstone, placement and clearance requirements are complete.
No weekly workload diagnosis
The time inventory simply accounts for entered hours within a 168-hour week. Course difficulty, health, disability, care obligations, assessment timing and learning needs cannot be reduced to a universal threshold.
Course-load planning questions
Where should I get the minimum and maximum credits?
Use the current registration guide, programme handbook, student portal or written advice from the registry or department. Record the source and checked date in the planner.
Does “inside entered range” mean I should register?
No. You must still verify prerequisites, timetable clashes, course availability, programme structure and any personal or funding constraints.
Why does the tool not estimate my graduation year?
A division of remaining credits by an invented “optimal” load ignores course sequencing, failed or repeated courses, offering cycles, placements, capstones and institutional approval.
