Translate PDFs with African Language Support

AfroTools PDF Translator is built for African documents: government forms, visa documents, school notes, clinic instructions, market notices, contracts, tenders, and business proposals. It extracts selectable PDF text in the browser, then translates page by page using the best available route: AfroTools translation API, AI contextual translation, or a local glossary draft when cloud services are unavailable.

Supported African Languages

Global Language Support

In addition to African languages, the tool supports English, French, Arabic, Portuguese, and Spanish, which are the most common cross-border administrative, legal, education, and business languages used across the continent.

How It Works

Upload your PDF, choose a target language and document type, optionally add a term bank, then review the output side by side. For sensitive or low-connectivity workflows, local draft mode keeps everything in the browser. For production-quality layout-preserving document translation, a dedicated document translation API or hosted NLLB-style model is the next step.

Translation review check

Extract locally, translate with consent, then review before official use

Selectable PDF text is extracted in the browser. Cloud API/AI translation requires explicit consent; local draft mode keeps document text in this browser.

Consent-gated cloud translation

Exports are generated only after you choose copy, TXT, PDF, or review pack.

Primary workflow

  • Upload a selectable PDF, choose source/target languages, add critical terms, then translate.
  • Use local draft mode for sensitive documents or tick consent before API/AI translation.
  • Review original and translated text side by side, then export PDF, TXT, copy text, or download the review pack.

Before sharing

  • Check names, dates, amounts, legal clauses, health wording, government labels, and untranslated terms manually.
  • Use PDF OCR first for scanned/image-only documents.
  • This is not a certified translation, legal opinion, immigration advice, or official document service.

Local-first document utility. Source freshness depends on your term bank and review process; verify critical translations with a qualified human reviewer before official use.
