Product-specific evidence
The African Union manual says originating goods must be wholly obtained or substantially transformed under Annex 2. The applicable test can depend on the exact HS classification and product-specific rule, so this page never substitutes a category-wide percentage.
Review before shipment
- Confirm the exact HS code and product-specific rule with the competent customs/origin authority.
- Reconcile the bill of materials, supplier origin evidence and ex-works valuation.
- Confirm the accepted proof of origin, issuing procedure, validity period and record-retention rules.
- Confirm both trading countries are implementing the relevant AfCFTA tariff offer for this product.
