Image Format Converter Studio: What It Does

AfroTools Image Format Converter Studio converts browser-supported image files locally using Canvas export. It is designed for practical handoffs: JPG for portals and marketplaces, PNG for transparency and sharp graphics, WebP for modern sites, and AVIF when the browser can encode it. Batch mode packages outputs into a zip with a manifest, which helps developers, designers, and small teams track exactly what was generated.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are some output formats disabled?

Browsers do not all support the same Canvas encoders. The studio tests JPG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF on load, then disables formats that the current browser cannot export correctly.

Can I convert HEIC files?

You can choose HEIC or HEIF sources, but conversion only works if your browser can decode that file. If it cannot, use a browser or device with native HEIC support first.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The image is decoded and exported in the browser. The zip file is also assembled locally on your device.

Does conversion keep metadata?

Canvas export usually creates a clean pixel export and does not preserve most original metadata. Keep the original file separately if camera, legal, or archival metadata matters.
