How it works β€” methodology & sources

Updated for 2026. Here is exactly how the listings are compiled, the assumptions behind the pack check, and what to verify before you apply.

Methodology & how listings are compiled
This finder is a hand-curated directory of government-funded scholarship and bursary programmes across 8 countries plus the African Union. Each entry is compiled from the funding body's own published pages and records the programme name, the sponsoring ministry or agency, study levels, eligible fields, whether it funds local or overseas study, the funding amount, the typical deadline window, and the official application link. Your filters (country, study level, field) simply match against those recorded attributes β€” no ranking or eligibility decision is made for you. The optional Application Pack Check is a self-assessment: it scores your readiness out of 100 using assumptions that weight the deadline buffer, the number of core documents ready, recommendation letters, and admission evidence, purely to prompt what to prepare next.
Limitations & what to verify
This directory is informational only and does not replace the official scholarship notice β€” it is not a funding guarantee, and inclusion here is not an endorsement or an eligibility ruling. Scholarship terms, amounts, eligibility rules, and deadlines change every cycle and some programmes pause without notice, so a listing may be out of date. Before applying, verify the current deadline, eligibility, required documents, portal status, and funding terms directly on the official government or scholarship-body website.
