Shebylds launches year-round marketplace for South African creative businesses

South Africa's Shebylds Foundation is launching the Shebylds Collective on September 26, 2026 at the Heritage Fashion Show. The Foundation describes the Collective as the show's official marketplace and a year-round enterprise development platform for creative businesses.

The official launch page says the programme is designed for emerging and established designers, artisans and creative entrepreneurs. Its planned channels include Shop the Runway experiences, an online marketplace, curated pop-up retail events, brand visibility, business networking and mentorship.

The Foundation says the Collective will focus particularly on sustainable market access for women-owned businesses and creative entrepreneurs. Its launch connects a one-day fashion showcase with longer-term selling, customer discovery and business-development opportunities.

The online shop was still labelled coming soon when AfroTools checked the official page on September 26. That means the confirmed news is the platform launch and its published operating plan, not a claim that every marketplace feature or seller application is already live.

Designers and creators considering the programme should confirm current participation terms, selling arrangements, dates and contact details directly with Shebylds Foundation before committing time, stock or money.
