AfroStream covers African creators, streaming culture, music, gaming and the business behind the scene. We want the energy of a culture column with reporting readers can check.
What we publish
We follow releases, collaborations, creator milestones, platform announcements and publicly documented disputes or responses. We use dated public sources and distinguish confirmed facts from our interpretation. We do not turn private rumours or unsupported allegations into headlines.
Original reports and newswire briefs
An AfroStream report adds our own explanation or analysis to linked source material. A Newswire brief is a short, attributed item from another publisher's RSS feed. Its publisher, original date and source link stay visible. The brief points readers to that publisher for the full story.
Newswire briefs are available in the archive and RSS feed. Original reports that pass our basic publication checks can enter the article sitemap. Article pages identify their author and publication date; updates use an actual modification date.
Images and live labels
Story images come from the linked publisher's public feed or source page. The linked source provides their context and credit. When a usable image is absent, we use a visibly typographic category tile. We do not substitute an unrelated photograph.
A live card means our latest platform check reported an active broadcast. A check can become out of date; open the creator's channel to confirm. Cards expire from live discovery after 90 minutes without a fresh check. Our coverage is partial and depends on platform access.
Corrections and story tips
If a headline, date, attribution, image or claim needs correction, submit the article link, the requested change and a public source through our community page. Include a link when sharing a story tip so it can be verified.
Independence and promotion
Rankings follow the published ranking methodology. A news appearance does not mean a creator is trending or leading a ranking. Sponsorships and paid promotions must be labelled when published.
