IAB South Africa put disclosure, tax obligations and changing regulation at the centre of a virtual creator-economy session on September 16, 2026. The event formed part of the first IAB Global Creator Week, which brought together local IAB chapters and regional organisations for a programme focused on creator marketing standards, measurement, governance and innovation.
The South African session was organised by the IAB SA Creator Marketing Council under the title The Business of Creators. IAB South Africa said the discussion brought creators, brands, agencies and industry leaders together to examine practical guidance, transparency and shared accountability as the local market professionalises.
The official programme positioned the session as an industry conversation, not a new tax rule or legal ruling. Creators and brands should therefore treat the themes as prompts to check current disclosure, contract and tax obligations with the relevant South African authorities and qualified advisers.
IAB's global announcement lists the South African virtual event on September 16, while the IAB South Africa website carried the local 11:00 event notice. Both pages were checked on September 16, 2026.
