The Goethe-Institut is accepting applications from creative and artistic practitioners for the Southern Africa component of the Africa-Europe Partnerships for Culture programme. The current call plans to select 99 practitioners for 11 Heritage Narrative Clusters.
Applicants must be at least 18, have at least three years of professional artistic or creative practice, and legally reside and work in Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa or Zimbabwe. The programme welcomes individual artists and creatives whose work can contribute to cultural or heritage narratives.
Selected practitioners will receive a EUR 6,000 grant and join a six-month development process led by a selected Heritage Organisation. Each cluster is expected to create three co-produced works, with required collaboration, working sessions and public presentation activity. Applicants should read the official call for the exact cluster themes, commitments and supporting documents before applying.
