BellaNaija and Google Gemini have put a fresh creator training marker on Lagos with the Next Gen Creator House, a one-day immersive programme for Nigerian creators aged 18 to 25.
BellaNaija published the launch on June 19, 2026 and said the programme would take place in Lagos, Nigeria on June 25, 2026. The format was described as a working creative studio rather than a passive workshop, with sessions around content creation, storytelling, personal branding, audience growth, creator challenges and practical AI workflows.
The Google Gemini partnership gives the story a platform angle beyond a normal creator meetup. The programme focused on AI as a support tool for creators, including idea generation and workflow improvement, while keeping the creator craft at the centre. That fits the broader shift in Africa's creator economy, where training, tools and platform literacy are becoming as important as audience size.
BellaNaija programme director Mary Edoro framed the project as part of the company's commitment to Africa's next generation of storytellers and culture builders. For young Nigerian creators, the useful signal is practical access: mentorship, collaboration, technology exposure and a named event tied to an established African media brand.
AfroStream is tracking this as a platform and training story, not a ranking or funding claim. Source checked June 30, 2026: BellaNaija article dated June 19, 2026 about the June 25 Lagos event.
