Read the ranking alongside the country profile
GDP in current US dollars measures the size of an economy, while GDP per person measures average output. Nominal GDP is affected by exchange rates and national accounts revisions. A high value does not measure household purchasing power or determine where a business should operate.
Latest-observation rankings may combine different years. Select an observation year to exclude countries without that year's data. Real GDP growth can be negative; these observations remain in the table.
