What a fair comparison can tell you
GDP describes economic scale; GDP per person describes average output per resident. Neither is an overall country quality score. Real GDP growth measures annual change after price changes. Electricity access and internet use are national coverage indicators.
Matching years avoids presenting different observation dates as a current head-to-head result. Each measure can have a different latest shared year. Missing data remains N/A, and no difference is calculated when years differ.
