How is reading time calculated?
AfroTools Word Counter estimates reading time based on an average reading speed of 200 words per minute, which is the standard for adult readers. The estimate updates in real-time as you type or paste text.
Does the word counter also count characters?
Yes. The tool counts words, characters (including spaces), sentences, paragraphs, and average word length simultaneously. All stats update in real-time as you type.
Is my text stored or sent to a server?
No. All text analysis happens entirely in your browser. Your text is never sent to any server or stored anywhere. When you close the tab, your text is gone.
Can I copy the word count stats?
The stats are displayed in individual boxes on screen. You can select and copy individual values. The tool provides counts for words, characters, sentences, paragraphs, reading time, and average word length.
