TIN Registration in Sudan — Complete Guide
The Tax Number / الرقم الضريبي is issued by the Taxation Chamber (formerly Taxation and Customs Authority) (TC) in Sudan. Registration is free and typically takes 3-7 business days. Registration is currently available in person at TC offices. The TIN is governed by the Income Tax Act 1986 (as amended) and administered by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning.
All businesses operating in Sudan and individuals in formal employment are required to register for a Tax Number / الرقم الضريبي. The Tax Number / الرقم الضريبي is a Variable numeric identifier needed for tax filing, business bank accounts, government contracts, and customs clearance. Failure to register carries penalties: fines per Income Tax Act.
