TIN Registration in Equatorial Guinea — Complete Guide
The NIF (Número de Identificación Fiscal) is issued by the Dirección General de Impuestos (DGI) in Equatorial Guinea. Registration is free and typically takes 5-10 business days. Registration is currently available in person at DGI offices. The TIN is governed by the Ley General Tributaria de Guinea Ecuatorial and administered by the Ministerio de Hacienda y Presupuestos.
All businesses operating in Equatorial Guinea and individuals in formal employment are required to register for a NIF. The NIF is a Variable numeric identifier needed for tax filing, business bank accounts, government contracts, and customs clearance. Failure to register carries penalties: fines per Ley General Tributaria.
