TIN Registration in Central African Republic — Complete Guide
The NIF (Numéro d'Identification Fiscale) is issued by the Direction Générale des Impôts et des Domaines (DGID) in Central African Republic. Registration is free and typically takes 5-10 business days. Registration is currently available in person at DGID offices. The TIN is governed by the Code Général des Impôts de la RCA and administered by the Ministère des Finances et du Budget.
All businesses operating in Central African Republic and individuals in formal employment are required to register for a NIF. The NIF is a Variable numeric identifier needed for tax filing, business bank accounts, government contracts, and customs clearance. Failure to register carries penalties: fines per Code Général des Impôts.
