Turn the quiz result into one safer habit

Create a short training reminder from your quiz band, the cue you missed most, and the next action you will practise.

  • What you get: a non-sensitive practice summary you can share with a team.
  • How it works: select your own result band after completing the quiz; the form does not read messages or account data.
  • What to remember: a high score is not proof that every future message is safe.

Phishing Detection Quiz — Africa FAQ

Are these real messages?

No. They are fictional training examples inspired by common scam patterns. Domains, dates, phone numbers, account details, and offers shown in a scenario must not be treated as verified.

Does a high score prove I can identify phishing?

No. It records your answers to ten fixed examples. Real attackers change tactics, and a genuine-looking sender, logo, or domain alone does not prove a message is safe.

What should I do with a suspicious message?

Do not use its links, attachments, QR codes, or contact details. Open the organisation's official app or independently find its official website or number, then report the message through the appropriate local channel.

Practice common cues, then verify independently

This quiz uses fixed synthetic examples. It cannot authenticate a real sender, inspect message headers, scan links or attachments, or replace incident response.

What the quiz checks

  • Urgency, secrecy, unrealistic rewards, credential requests, lookalike domains, shortened links, and unusual payment instructions.
  • Whether you choose an independently verified channel instead of contact details supplied by the message.
  • Only your answer to each local scenario; no personal message is uploaded or analysed.
