Compare two texts side-by-side with line-by-line and word-level diff highlighting. Real-time statistics: lines added (green), removed (red), unchanged. Ignore whitespace and case options.
The AfroTools Kilinganisha Maandishi lets you compare two blocks of text or code side by side and instantly see every difference. Paste your original text on the left and the modified version on the right, and the tool highlights additions, deletions, and changes with clear colour coding — green for added lines, red for removed lines, and yellow for modified content. Word-level diffing pinpoints the exact characters that changed within each line, making it easy to spot subtle edits. The tool provides statistics showing the number of added, removed, and unchanged lines at a glance. Toggle options let you ignore whitespace differences or perform case-insensitive comparisons when those differences are not relevant to your review. This diff tool is invaluable for developers reviewing code changes, writers comparing document drafts, translators checking text revisions, and anyone who needs to quickly identify what changed between two versions. Zote comparison happens in your browser in real time — no data leaves your device.
You can compare any plain text — source code in any programming language, configuration files, JSON, XML, CSV data, prose documents, or any other text content.
When enabled, the tool ignores differences in spaces, tabs, and trailing whitespace. This is useful when comparing code that may have different indentation styles but is otherwise identical.
Since the comparison runs in your browser, there is no server-imposed limit. However, very large texts (over 50,000 lines) may slow down rendering. For typical documents and code files, performance is instant.
Green highlights indicate added lines or words, red highlights show removed content, and yellow marks lines that were modified. Word-level highlighting within lines shows exactly which characters changed.
